Cavities & Fractures

Many times cavities and fractures can be treated with a simple tooth-colored filling and when it is more extensive and inlay/onlay may be necessary.

Missing Teeth

Depending the number of missing teeth there are various options such as implants, custom made complete or partial dentures, or bridges to bring back a healthy smile.

Severe Wear

Depending on the extent of the damage incurred, there are several options to repair the teeth and prevent further damage such as Crowns, inlays/onlays, or major reconstruction.

Major Reconstruction

This implies restoring/rebuilding a significant part of the oral cavity.  It usually means that most or all the teeth will have some sort of dental restorations.  It very often involves replacing some missing teeth with either crown, bridges or dental implants.

Crowns

A crown can offer the support and esthetics needed when a tooth is cracked or a filling is large and compromises the strength of the tooth.  Whether you choose all porcelain crowns or porcelain fused to metal crowns, they look and feel just like your natural teeth.  A crown may be placed over an existing tooth after it has been prepared or it may placed over an implant that has been placed where a tooth has been lost.

Bonding/Veneer

Creating a more pleasing smile is sometimes as simple as bonding or veneers.  Its is a possible solution to chipped, cracked, discolored or misarranged teeth.  Veneers are thin, semi-translucent shells typically attached to your front teeth.  Veneers are made from porcelain material and permanently bonded to your teeth.

Teeth Whitening/Bleaching

This is a procedure for whitening natural teeth.  Licensed dentists are able to use stronger materials to whiten the teeth therefore having a much more dramatic result than over the counter products available.  In Office Whitening can be done with light activated bleaching components and custom fabricated bleaching tray that can also be used at home.

Implants

Dental implants are substitute tooth roots that allow replacement of the entire missing tooth.  Made of Titanium, they are shaped in the form of natural tooth roots and are placed directly into the jaw bone under the gum.

Complete Denture

Is a removable prosthesis that restores function and appearance in the mouth as well as surrounding facial tissues when all the teeth are missing.  With the introduction of implants, denture therapy is becoming less widely used but continues to be a real solution for many patients who have lost all of their teeth due to periodontal disease, decay or trauma.

Removable Partial Denture

A prosthesis that contains artificial teeth supported on a metal framework and retained and supported by natural teeth with clasps and rests.

Fixed Partial Dentures/Bridge

Fixed partial dentures differ from removable partial dentures in that they may not be removed from the mouth.   Whether permanently attached to an implant or to adjacent teeth, the appliance will afford the patient a stable chewing surface to solve the problem of the missing teeth.

Inlay/Onlay

When a large part of the surface of the tooth has been damaged, an inlay or onlay is the solution to maintaining the integrity of the tooth.  Traditional fillings can reduce the strength of a tooth by up to 50%.  Inlays and onlays, which are bonded directly onto the tooth using special resins, can increase the strength of the tooth up to 75%.

Extractions

When a tooth is deemed not , it will be extracted. One of various treatment options will be used to replace it.
